WELCOME

What is fivestones? We believe that we were given a vision of a healthy growing group of young people meeting together for one purpose, to seek after the deepest relationship with God. God used the story of David fighting the Philistine giant to paint a picture of what this looks like:

“Then he took the staff in his hand, and chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in the shepherd’s bag, in a pouch which he had, and his sling was in his hand. And he drew near to the Philistine. I Samuel 17 verse 40

We see ourselves symbolically as the five stones, five different groups or “families”, resting in the brook (Jesus Christ) which is the life-changing power source for all believers. Having been “drawn out” we sense that God has “set us apart” and has charged us with a specific purpose. Having been placed in the shepherd’s bag (the local church) we are learning by the Scriptures how to live a real Jesus way of living. Just as any of the five stones could have been used as the weapon to defeat the enemy, we too are being hand crafted and empowered to stand against the schemes of the Evil one.

So each family has a Spiritual Mom or Dad who is in turn mentoring a student leader. Our families are set apart by gender, and each group has Jr. High, Senior High and College ages represented. We meet every Wednesday in the Youth Building at 6:59pm. We would love to have you come be a part of this fun and exciting gathering.
